A weekend of scrapping...

I've had a lovely weekend.  A few friends - well, when I say 'few' I mean twelve - spent the weekend together scrapping, chatting, celebrating a birthday, laughing and just generally having a good time...........surrounded by Krispy Kreme donuts, danish pastries, muffins & the most delicious chocolately birthday cake!!!!!!  I did try to help my diet by having a tuna salad for lunch, but I think the donuts either side of lunch didn't help much......

For me it was a very productive day, I finished a LO, made a little tag book for Ross and made an entire mini album about our church weekend away to Ashburnham Placeback in May - I just have to finish some journalling in it and then it's all done.  I also got to play with Debbies new scrapping toy, the Craft Roboand I am very impressed........so impressed I immediately came home and discussed with Ross, the possibilities of buying one, and just between you and me, I think there's going to be a new Robo owner very soon!!!!!!!

Oh well, back to the grindstone today - I must unpack all my scrapping stuff and try not to get too distracted by it all when putting it away or I will never get any housework done today!!!!

Time........

I remember when I was little, an aunt said to me, that the older you got the quicker time passed...........I remember thinking she was being silly, because time is time - it can't go faster.........right???  Wrong!!!!  I now know what she meant, I just don't seem to know where my time disappears to so quickly.......it's already Friday again and the weekend is upon us, and dare I say it - it'll be Christmas before we know it!!!!!!

I'm going away for the weekend with some scrapping friends, not that much scrapping will get done.............I'm never truly organised when I go to a crop - I fiddle, I chat, I fiddle some more, I buy more stash, I fiddle........oh well, there's always next week to think about getting organised, this weekend is purely for pleasure.

Summer colds.....

.....well here I am, feeling very sorry for myself as I have come down with a summer cold.  I think it's my body's way of telling me to slow down.  I haven't stopped since I came home from holiday 2 weeks ago - there's been so much going on that my holiday feels like months ago!!!!  After we came home from church yesterday, we had a bit of lunch and then a very strange phenomonen occurred in our house - there was quiet!!!!!  We didn't have any guests, we didn't have to be anywhere, we had nothing to do!!!!!  So I sat down and started reading a new book, started to unwind & relax and BAM........while my defenses are down a summer cold sneaks in and settles down and now I feel really grotty.  Luckily I have an easier week this week, not so much to do, so I am going to make some soup for lunch and curl up under a duvet and watch a film...........and pray that I'll feel better by tomorrow.  If not, it looks like I'll have to go out and buy loads of scrapping mags to read while I lay in bed tomorrow - oh life can be hard sometimes!!!!

Back home with a bump!!!!

After spending 2 weeks laying by a pool in the sunshine on the Algarve and doing very, very little.......we arrived home Saturday evening with a bump.  We had our friends, who had been house sitting, waiting for us and we all had dinner together.  Sunday morning we got up and went to church and Ross invited 7 people home for lunch - so it was a quick dash to the supermarket to get some food to feed them!!!  Two of them slept over Sunday night and stayed for lunch on Monday and also my parents and Charleys boyfriend arrived and stayed until 6pm.  Oh and we popped out to M&S Monday morning to buy a new sofa in a nice mocha colour.  new sofa.jpg

Tuesday morning was spent going through the reams of post that had accumulated, making phone calls.........arranging a coffee with my scrapping friends, doing laundry, etc.  Wednesday I took my daughter and her friend into town shopping, kept bumping into friends and catching up on all the news, then home again to cook dinner for a family from church who have just had their 4th son, delivered their dinner, dropped Charleys friend home, came home and prepared our dinner and then last night I just vegged out in front of the tv........boy, do I know the holiday is over and I'm home again!!!!

Will a scrapper.........

........ever have enough stash?????

I am sitting in my scrap room (approx. 3m x 4m) and jam packed with stash and wonder if I will ever use it all or will ever stop buying more and more products.

As I ponder this, I decide that my enemy in this problem is 'time' - not that I have bought too much - but that I don't have enough time in my life to scrap enough to use my supplies!!!!!!  So what is the solution????????  Can I stop buying stash, can I create more time in my week, can I scrap more?????  The answer may become clear in a few weeks time.

Over the next few weeks, I am going away to Chester and Portugal, so plenty of photo opportunities.  When I get back I am going to try and do three things........

a) to scrap my photos

b) to find more time to scrap my photos

c) to try to scrap my photos using the stash I already have

Do I think I'll succeed - I have no idea, but I'm sure I will have fun trying.
